What is medical thermography? With very sensitive, high resolution infrared cameras and special screening software, minimal differences in temperature of the skin surface are made visible. This way abnormalities in relation to the underlying organs and systems can be determined at an early stage. How do we use Thermography at La Luz Wellness Center We use it to find the correlations from patient symptoms and the pathway blockages. This guides us where we will work with patients to begin stimulating and opening up areas of the body that can benefit from proper blood, oxygen, nutritional and energetic flow. What is the difference between mammography and infrared screening? Infrared screening is more comprehensive and can indicate physiological changes in the body at an early stage Physiological changes are preliminary to anatomical changes in which it is a valuable contribution in screening prevention. Mammography is an imaging technique which shows very clear any anatomic changes. If changes are visible at mammography this is often in a late stage of the disease. The big difference between a mammogram and medical thermography is the fact that medical thermograhy screens physiological and a mammogram anatomical. If there has been an anatomical change in the breasts (f.e. a cyste) an abnormal process on physiological level preceded. So, it is fine to choosemedical thermography because then you can really work on the health of your breasts. This is not possible with mammography while the change is already there and you only have the option to a curative intervention. What is the difference between medical thermography and infrared screening? A thermogram is a photo that is made by a heat camera or infrared camera. Thermography is taking the (heat) images with a high-resolution infrared camera (the act). Medical thermography is imaging the physical processes with a thermal imaging camera (infrared camera). Infrared screening is exactly the same just easier to memorize (common name). Thanks to the software we use, we can lay anatomical images over the heat images which makes it easier for the doctor to interpret the images. Who is a good candidate for an Infrared Screening?
